OMG, the cuteness. That’s how they get you for life. Sorry about the torture. It will get better by morphing into different kinds of worries. I tell my kids I went bald because of them, and you don’t even have that.
We had twins that were premature, and they had to be on monitors when we took them home. The monitors went off all the time. Both of us were beyond exhausted, sleep-deprived and frazzled. To be honest, I barely remember that first whatever it was, maybe 9 months or so. Then the monitors were gone, things started to become something like normal, and it was wonderful...until they were teenagers. But one thing at a time.
Congratulations! It passes, and then you miss it terribly and can't wait for grandchildren.
